Is Kalen DeBoer just Hugh Freeze circa 2015?

In the last 12 months, DeBoer is 2-0 against the best coach in the country (Smart) and 5-5 against all other P4 opponents.
From October 2014-2015, Hugh Freeze went 2-0 against the best coach in the country (Saban) and 5-5 against all other P4 opponents.
Deboer is even calling Treadwell passes and screens to O Linemen just like Hugh.
Biggest difference I can see is that Hugh at least knew how to beat Vandy.

I remember when Hugh famously took Arkansas State to the BCS title game back in 2011.

Yeah, and Hugh getting ASU to 10-2 with only losses to P4 teams is arguably more impressive than the UW 2023 season.

I think it's possible that Kalen DeBoer is Kalen DeBoer, and not Hugh Freeze, Bryan Harsin, Nick Saban, etc.
