Forgive me Kirby for looking ahead...but, need to get out minds right for that game.

- night game at Jordan-Hare confirmed (WG dawg and the mouse in his pocket knew about this being a night game 4 months ago)

- Auburn on a bye week

- Hugh coaching for his job

- Mobile QB

- Freak WRs in Coleman and the old Tech guy who burned us last year

- Weak oline but we can't rush passer

- Hugh gave us scares twice already with lesser talent.

The fear is real

They have a nasty defensive line too

Curious what the line will open at.

Could see it being a pick em

Yeah, it's not an ideal situation. Auburn's wide receiver group might be the best we've played yet. Cam Coleman's similiarites to George Pickens are pretty uncanny, and Singleton was the most expensive receiver in the portal. Auburn fans will be out for blood and their players will feed off of that. I also think that their defense is better than Alabama's defense.

The optimistic take is that Kirby has had a read on Hugh Freeze's outdated offense for years now, and Jackson Arnold has the pocket presence of a small child. I think that our pass rush will be okay. I don't think that our pass rush against Bama was bad.Ty Simpson operating like Tom Brady and getting the ball out so quick was the problem.

Home field advantage is worth about 3 points. Negative Georgia fans setting the lines is worth about 7 points.

I would push back on Kirby having a bead on Hughes offense. My recollection is that it is one the ones that has given him the most rouble over the years.

As mentioned, '23 they killed us on the edges in the run game with Payton Thorne at QB.

Without looking it up, I can't remember last year's game or the vibe.

2016, which obviously Kirby didn't have his guys but still, Hugh dropped 40+ at Ole Miss.

Go back further and Hugh gave Kirby's Bama defenses trouble too.

3 touchdowns in 2 games, and one of them was with a short field (2 TDs in 2023 and 1 TD last season)

Better take care of Kentucky first. I bet it'll be a war.

Interim coach bump makes me even more worried...that would be an unprecedented move though. I don't buy it.

If that happens, Coleman could go in portal and sit out to avoid injury.

Auburn worries me the least of any SEC team left on our schedule.

Hell no it isn't confirmed. It's an account that makes its hay in posting goofy shite that football fans say.

They do have a track record of occasionally blind squirreling their way into interesting headlines, though.

In the Kirby era I have taken beating TN, Auburn, and Florida almost every year for granted. Then Auburn is 3-2 so it's kind of deceptive.
