On the road, against a very good, well coached defense that played well...with basically no help from run game.
Ty made throw after throw that were darts. This to me was more impressive than anything I ever saw Bryce Young do. These receivers werent wide open and Georgia didnt blow any coverages. This was a team with equal or better talent, game circled, determined to beat you, with a great gameplan....and you went into their house and denied them. The RW dropped TD would have shaken many QBs.
I loved Tua, and BY and AJ...but those guys had better teams than almost everyone they played. Only Tua had any kind of test similar to this, this early and Tua had the greatest compilation of receivers maybe ever in CFB to throw to.
*I swear, you cant even compliment a player on this board without negative nellies downvoting and poopooing. BY won a Heisman. Tua and AJ won NCs. They all had great careers and are legends.

Ok that was not well said....BY threw darts and had great games at Bama. The impressiveness Saturday was doing so with such little margin for error over and over and not really missing.

Ty's processing speed was ridiculous.

Bryce had Brian Robinson and Jahmyr Gibbs, both NFL starters, to help with the run game. I'm not saying Simpson is better but Young never beat a top 10 team on the road (he was 0-2 but neither of those losses we his fault).
I think Simpson's performance should be remembered as one of the great road performances for a Bama QB ever.

Seems arbitrary. He beat #11 ole Miss in Oxford

Top 10 is not arbitrary. It's a nice round number. Beating #11 Ole Miss in Oxford doesn't really disprove my point.

This post wasnt to bag on BY or any other Bama QB. It was to relay how impressed I was with Ty last night. Just the sheer talent and machine of a program Saban fielded every year just defacto led to very little games like what we saw last night where Bama was an underdog in the most hostile of environments against a team that matched or exceeded your talent level across the field.
It wasnt just that. It was that Georgia played exceptionally well, and Bama and specifically Ty STILL played better

It does seem arbitrary, but so does calling that Ole Miss team #11 because they happened to have had a soft schedule to that point. They lost out the season, finishing 8-5 and unranked. That included blowout losses to Arkansas and Texas Tech. Was not a good team.

I see nothing wrong with his statement.

Let's just say I'm glad he is our QB and should have been last year.
