Getting after it, yelling at and cheering players. They obviously feed off that. When he just stands there squinty faced we have no energy or identity like with FSU. If we played them again I think we win handily. I'm hoping that deboer has changed his approach as some reports suggest.

DeBoer was still kinda green as a headcoach when he got to Bama if we are being honest, and obviously completely green to coaching in the SEC. I think he's still kind of figuring it out, which might seem not so good on the surface, but I think he's going to get better and better. I think he realizes now that he cant maintain the laid back approach and meet the expectations of a big time SEC program like Bama , and he has to evolve and adapt to the environment.
Now, my opinion might completely change in a week, but his demeanor is markedly different than his first season + game 1 of this season.

Totally agree. If he can continue to figure it out (he is ) and his track record of success.
Alabama might just win a few games

DeBoer is hopefully learning the West Coast laid back approach is the wrong approach to take at Bama and in the SEC. It’s too tough a conference and Bama will be circled on everyone’s schedule.

Very true.
I was surprised when I looked it up. He's only been a D1 HC for 3 years before taking the Alabama job. (not counting Covid year when he coached like 7 games)
He's definitely green and still learning, but the guy clearly knows how to develop players, evaluate recruits, and he has the Xs and Os. He's gotta work on inspiring guys in the locker room, and holding everyone to the fire. It seems like he's getting better at that

I think in the immortal words of Popeye, he finally reached the point of “I’ve had all I can stands, I can’t stands no more.”
