Could be worse.

He could've gotten his job through nepotism.

True. You could have had two players "at the wrong place at the wrong time".

Losing record vs Alabama
Losing record vs Oats
Lost at home against Alabama (his last home game) in his last game against them while being #1

Deemed greatest coach in Auburn athletics history

Pearl was Auburn’s Saban.

I love the guy and his style of basketball. He made the conference better and Bama wouldn’t have a coach like Oats if Auburn didn’t hire Pearl.

I hate to see him go…he was the best coach in the SEC.

Negative.

There’s a coach in this conference who beat Pearl to win a national title this year

Makes sense. They named their field after a guy that went 6-6 against Alabama and got them put of probation.

Keep it down home cuz

I forget the context here - was this him telling his slovenly wife and children to get out of his life so he could have sex with coeds?

Nate Oats seems like the kind of guy that does a few lines of coke and then wants to blow guys.

Nate Oates can’t run for office considering he aided and abetted a murderer.

It was in reference to the years-long sodomy he intended to bestow upon LSU. But you knew that.

Saban sent Tubs packing. Oats sending Pearl packing...both getting out of coaching completely. Hmmm
