We’re going to be able to run the ball on pretty much anybody

We haven’t shown a ton of different looks so far

Jackson Arnold is a hell of a lot better athlete than I gave him credit

Freeze was right: Cobb is the real deal.

Our DB’s aren’t as good as we thought in the summer

Eric Singleton is the truth

TE is going to be a problem, and Preston Howard sucks.

I don’t think we know anything about our team. We will know after the UGa game.

We have played so vanilla, we have whipped every team at the line of scrimmage. What happens if we can’t win the LOS for an entire game?

Only thing I think we can take away so far is if we are ahead Jackson Arnold is risk adverse. Our safeties and nickel are confused in zone coverage.

Based on the first 3 weeks, we are going to be 0 - 3 to start SEC play and possibly 0 - 5 unless there is a huge improvement from the QB and secondary. I felt pretty good coming into the season but each week has me thinking we are living on borrowed time and reality is about to hit in an ugly way. Hope I'm wrong and we get at least 1 of the first 3 but all of those teams look way better than us at this point in the season.

I cannot understand this. The talent is there. I mean we can see the physical size and tools these kids have. It has to be something with the scheme that they're having trouble with mentally or the way they are being coached.

The amount of talent between the secondary and linebackers should not be getting lit up the way they have 2 out of these 3 games.

Im not sure what we have. I expect a ton of RPO/Hurry vs OU. I do think JA still has growth on passing. Our DL needs to be more aggressive. Ours DBs are young.

What is “good” QB play to you?

Because through 3 games 8 total TDs, 70% completion percentage, 0 INTs looks like a pretty damn good QB to me.

Our opponents QB this upcoming week is supposed to be near the best in the conference through 3 games 9 total TDs, 68% completion percentage, 3 INTs.

So which do you prefer?

I dont believe in blind resumes for this reason you're using them. There is so much information left out.

Like what? Both have played a fringe top 25ish team (Baylor/Michigan) both have played 2 bad teams. Mateer has more passing yards but many more attempts. Arnold has more rush yards but more attempts.

So what else is missing? JA is playing very solid. He (or the QB room) is second best performance on our team only behind the OL.

Mateer is probably 3rd on Okie’s team behind DL and LB.

Need more. We need more deep shots folks… we sit exactly on the SEC average at 11% of plays are deep pass plays (20 yards+).

We have controlled the line of scrimmage on offense so we haven’t had to throw bombs all game long.

The win against Baylor was because JA had to be a RB. I am glad to have that aspect in the bag, but I need to see Arnold pass to win. I dont care about Ball State stats. Against USA Arnold passed for 140 yards.

I am still on the fence on hick.

So which is the better win?

Okie over a Michigan team with a true freshman QB in Norman or Auburn over Baylor with a Top QB in the nation on the road?

After Thorne, this is music to my ears. As a Titans fan that watched Will Levis, hearing the words "risk adverse" gives me an erection.

I feel like we are really good on offense and have barely opened up the playbook. Defense has definitely let me down thus far.

We have been very efficient on offense so far. Have we been an explosive passing team? Nope. Who gives a shite? Not me. Just fricking win.

If Top players only care about stats then frick off. I don’t care how Perry, Cam, or Simmons feel as long they do what they are supposed to do each play to their best ability. You want more passes thrown to you then catch the damn ball. So for all the fans that’s like we better get Perry more involved or he is gonna leave. Well we tried this weekend either he or Jackson didn’t know what to do on the deep throw. I’m assuming Perry because it’s par for the course so far for him. He never even turned around. I’m not down on Perry just the opposite he’s made huge improvements since last season but we have to realize as great as his athleticism is his understanding of passing concepts is just as much behind and he’s really struggled to grasp the details that have to happen to get on the field. Is that a little bit of coaching? Possibly.

It’s called scheme. Durkin plays like Auburn is up 35-0 all game long. I guarantee if he turned it loose, mixed in more blitzing and man to man coverage, the defense would look a lot better.

I had it all wrong.

I thought DBs were the strength of the defense.
