Sark finally overcomes the wealth of Texas

By golly I think the untouchable Sark has finally figured out how to return to 7-win normality, despite the tidal wave of Texas money and resources.
Since NIL has kicked into gear:
a) Nick Saban took a walk, and...
b) Longhorn football returned to prominence overnight
But despite a couple years of having to work through this sudden surge of monetary boost to the Texas cause, I think 7-win Sark is finally on track to overcome the built-in advantages of Texas and still produce a solid 7-win ball club out of the Longhorns.
Let's face it, this couldn't have been easy. Texas is swimming in talent - the best money can buy. It takes a seasoned and shrewd focus to mold this plentiful bounty into a 7-win club.
Nice work Sark! Have a drink on me!
Please.

No worries. Our fans will show up to tell us "but sark isn't the one out there making penalties, overthrowing WRs, dropping the ball, etc"
The guy responsible for all of the above. He's untouchable. Any criticism and you get the scarlet letter of "not a real horn fan"
My favorite is the texas board on this site. Any criticism and you'll get banned or your posts deleted. It's katie at horn fans all over again. I fully expect a "no sex at all" locked topic soon.

Sark bet everything on Manning. Built the whole team around him. Texas will still win a bunch of games because of their cheesecake schedule

The classic double reverse melt sauteed in satire. Well done sir.

Sarkisian and staff recruited and developed 24 draft picks in those two years after ZERO were drafted from the first team he inherited
I agree he’s not above criticism, and I’m leaning toward the qb panning out to be a complete bust, but I think he’s earned the benefit of the doubt to right the ship just 3 games in
Otherwise, who is your pick to replace him?
Better yet, whose alter are you?

aTm feels your pain and says "Welcome to the club". They learned the same thing a few years back.

Texas could’ve beat Ohio State on the road by 21 and he’d still find something to bitch at sark about

Then why on earth would you accuse a horn fan who is critical of not being a real fan if you agree with some of the criticism?
No one, including me, is calling for sark to be fired but it's clear as day that he's taken on way too much and he needs help on offense.

Great play designer, horrible in-game play caller

Dunno if OrangeBloods is still around, but the mods on that forum were bitches. Any reasonable conversation that wasn't completely sucking up to Horns was insta ban.

I don’t know what your irrational hatred of Sarkisian is given the fact that he’s delivered far more than the previous coaches, but if you want Herman or Strong so bad, be my guest. You and them deserve eachother

some truth to that but hornfans was the absolute worst. Katie would not allow any criticism of Mack at all. Horn fans, I could be wrong about this, but didn't the original shaggy bevo spawn from all the people she banned? or am I remembering that wrong?

I applaud the melt. Well done but....
If it is it's not apparent on the field. You're QB is one of the worst, if not the worst in the league. Gators have a solid argument against that, but I have a hard time thinking of any other QB who has performed as poorly as Arch.
11 of 25 for 114 yards and an interception. Ooooof.

You still aren't processing.
1) I'm not hating. It's called root cause analysis.
2) I've explained the sudden overnight "turn-around" of Texas, and you want to give a historically proven 7-win coach credit for it.

I think the disconnect between horn fans is between the ones that blame arch for being a terrible qb and the ones who hold the man responsible for developing him as the issue.
I'm in the latter but, whatever it is, he is truly awful right now. I'd love for Sark to bring in a young, innovative OC but that's a pipe dream with the arrogance we're dealing with
