If we are going to stick with ESPN on all things SEC, they have to do better...

That production quality of Florida vs South Florida was just awful. LSU broadcast was bad too. Grainy as hell video quality looked worse than most small town high school Friday night livestreams.
I wanted to watch the end of the Florida game but didn't because I didn't want such a weak signal coming thru my TV. It made me feel poor.
Good production quality can make bad teams even look good. CBS does it best. Bad TV can make good teams look like weak sauce. Florida and LSU could be #1 teams in the country but with the TV production last night, you'd think they were Sun Belt.
SEC needs to demand more if we stay long-term.
Only about half the games ESPN broadcasts for us are good production.

I’ll agree to this. The cameras were changing before the people had their shots lined up. Several times they weren’t even following the play.
Hell I’ll come do that job for what they make. Lord knows tRant knows football better than the people running the system at ESPN

When you broadcast as many games as ESPN, someone's gonna get the B team....

Yeah, their production is hot garbage. CBS was significantly better.

It was the worst broadcast I have ever watched too, only for different reasons.

It doesn't have to be that way. I am not really talking about announcers even.
More the camera quality, amount of cameras, angles, sound quality, etc.

I think the main ABC and ESPN broadcasts, with their “A” teams, are fine. Honestly, they look almost as good as CBS. I just wish they would get rid of the scrolling bar at the bottom.
But I agree that once you get to their ESPN 2, ESPNU and SEC Network broadcasts, there is a huge drop in quality. I get that with the announcers, but there’s no reason for the picture degradation.
I don’t include ESPN Unlimited/ESPN + as those are basically local broadcasts under the ESPN name.
