South Florida over Florida. This is not a troll post.
USF physically dominated and blew out a ranked Boise State team last week 34-7 including having 372 yards in the air and 255 yards on the ground totalling for over 600 yards while not giving up much to Boise until the game was well with in hand.
What makes them good? Alex Golesh the Vols offensive coordinator in 2022 has been the head coach there since 2023 and has them clicking now on both sides.
They run the same exact tempo as we did with Hooker in 2022 and they have a playmaker at QB who's perfect for that offense and moves it at a high clip as well as a surprisingly physical defense.
If Florida has any sense, they would throw the kitchen sink at Golesh after this game.
Boise State was a returning top ten 12 win team last year and South Florida made them look anemic most of the game.

Should be a good game.

This is the most popular take which means not happening. USF already showed their hand.

If it 8s even close you will hear a ton of boo's...this is agame that should be over by halftike. I love USF..went to alot of games when I lived in Tampa..so I don't want them to get stomped to high heavens but I expect UF to win an easy game..41-17 is my guess.

Go watch them against Boise. They were extremely impressive. Which ever big power conference team gets Golesh, is going to be good.

I don't think USF is terrible. They look well coached and their QB is talented and mobile which is the type of player that has tendency to do good against our defensive scheme.
It will come down to our OL and LB's. If we can establish the run and contain Brown, we should win going away. We are definitely more talented, but their defense showed they can force turnovers, so that could also keep the game close.
I am also a little concerned about us looking ahead to LSU, but I hope USF's win against Boise St. prevents us from overlooking them.

I honestly think Florida comes prepared for the game. That said, any time you go into a team that is unranked you had better be careful.
Alabama/FSU is a perfect example.
So, is it possible Florida is upset? Yes. But when Boise got beat like a rug, that should have gotten Florida's attention.

I’ve been saying this since the off season

I'm putting all the trailers in the family on the line betting on ULM against Alabama.

Think USF keeps it close solely to Florida looking ahead to LSU. You see it ALL the time in college football. Florida wins though.

I said it in another thread. MSU beats ASU this week.

There were 9 plays ran out of empty, which resulted in UFs highest EPA on a per play basis since Napier took over.
Also those are the plays Lagway is most comfortable with.
Only LIU, but the tell will be how much Napier runs those against USF.
