AJ with the best take on the entire problem we are facing. We can’t compete with Ohio State & Texas (and others) when it comes to NIL. What helped us fill the gap was that we are Alabama and being the elite program of the last 20 years helped us attract players because the perception was you would at least be able to come here to win & get to the NFL. That perception goes away after a few bad seasons and we are screwed.

We aren't alabama any more and it was on full display saturday. I can already see NIL maybe taking a couple of our actually decent players and hurting us severely in recruiting.

We’ve signed top 5 classes since Saban left.

We have the best roster per the composite rankings in CFB.

Talent is not the problem.

You can argue it’s scheme.

You can argue it’s culture.

But we have a 9-3/10-2 roster in the SEC and would probably not lose a game under Saban in the ACC.

What difference will that make if culture and scheme aren’t fixed?

We’re a Ferrari being driven by a 16 year old girl at the moment.

If we end up a Prius being driven by the same girl the results aren’t going to be any different when you measure your seasons based on competing for championships.

Improved QB play would improve a lot of things on offense. They realized Ty couldn’t process and deliver effectively down field and our run game went *poof*.

Improved LB play and getting pieces back on defense would help, but the scheme has to become more adaptable or it won’t matter.

But culture and effort has to change or we will find ways to lose games we should win.

I hate to say it but the way some players acted you would have thought they had placed money on FSU!
