Who wins this game? I lean to ND but if Beck protects the ball Miami might pull it off I guess. Beck without that TE he had in 2023 hasn't looked that great though.

I have no faith in Miami until they get some real defense...
Seriously, when was the last time you saw a lit Canes defense?

Pouring in Miami Gardens right now. Not good for Beck.

It's raining in Florida?! We are the "Sunshine State" so I don't believe you.

LSU and FSU defenses are back
Why not Miami?
Why not Miami?

Yep last year they had 2 guys that could get after the QB but didn't look that good overall. Not sure what they addressed with transfers.

That's good, it was pretty bad earlier.

Probably ND because they are the better team top to bottom and Marcus Freeman is the better coach. But the majority of UGA fans will go with "See! Carson Beck Sucks! Good Riddance!" because they are low IQ people.

What do you think of Becks ability? I think 2023 was propped up big time by that TE who always seemed to be wide open. I don't think he is bad like a Nico but just don't think he is elite.

They ought to erect a statue of bowers, that dude was huge to the success of those teams as evidenced by what has happened since.

Notre Dame is a mediocre team on the road. I’ll take the U in this one

Doesn’t Notre Dame usually drop a game or two early

Nah, they’ll do that because he sucks.

ND. Miami was kept afloat last year by Cam Ward. I don’t expect Miami to have a much improved defense nor do I expect Beck to be able to perform like Ward did. ND by 10+

I haven't seen him since his elbow injury and rehab, so I don't know. I do think he was elite. The regression in 2024 is due to zero running game and being dead last in FBS in dropped passes. He was throwing dimes and hitting guys on the money and they were just dropping them, multiple times every game. The higher INT ratio came from the fact UGA wasn't blowing people out in 2024 and found themselves in more desperate situations and having to force more throws. He is also very athletic and can run really well, but the coaches wouldn't let him. Assuming his elbow is all good, and his mechanics aren't all fricked up, I see no reason he can't have a long career in the NFL. He can make every throw on the field and process coverage at AI speeds. He's a great QB. It all depends on that elbow, and how well the OL can protect him, will the receiver actually catch the ball when he puts it both their hands, and can a running game relieve him of some of the pressure of having to be the guy to make every play and open some play action opportunity. If the Front 7 can consistently stop the run with 5 in the box, and drop 6 into coverage, that's a bad situation for any QB no matter how good he is.

Watching to see how beatable ND is. Aggies likely losing that one. But maybe we catch a break.
