Which schools hate each other the most?
Any context is appreciated really.
What are things like between the Football Big 3 over there in the Sunshine State?

To put it in Texas terms:
UF = UT
UM = Baylor
FSU = Texas Tech
USF = TAMU

FSU = Texas Tech
USF = TAMU

We all hate each other..but there is some respect between UF and FSU..f*ck Miami..

FSU hates UF bc a lot of students got into one but not the other.
UM fans are mostly NE transplants and ghetto people so it’s not as deep against UF.
FSU & Miami hate each other however because Miami has no true yearly rival outside of them but I’d imagine they’re #2 to us in FSU’s eyes.

The wife (no pics) is a FSU Alum and I taught there for a time after I finished at UA
In my experience…
FSU and UF don’t like each other, obviously, but respect each other on game day… they can be civil, and most old Florida family’s have members that attended both.
Both loathe Miami… absolutely despise them… they’re not true “Floridians” and resemble New Jersey guidos…

You haven't been watching the games. There is ZERO love lost between THE University of Florida and the nulls on game day. All out brawls, planting of flags, stealing sod, etc.
fsu has made claims they invented Gatorade, when they didn't have a med school at the time (Dr Cade was a Shands Hospital researcher when he invented it).
fsu has changed the inception date on their logo to be 2 years before UF, just to be a little sister bitch, when they actually opened after UF (both schools were given the legislative green light on the same date).
So, frick fsu, and that stupid glue precursor they ride in on.

Florida and FSU have a brotherly rivalry
FSU and Miami have a brotherly rivalry
Florida and Miami is forced neither one likes the other, neither one wants to play the other and when we do it’s while holding our noses. The Chico’s hate the Gators.

Miami is more SMU than Baylor, also with the way they are letting kids in, TAMU is UCF.

Florida = Big Brother
FSU = Little Brother
Miami = Red Headed Step Child (who should be put up for adoption)

My thoughts exactly. Who even cares about Miami at this point? We didn't play them regularly for decades and they've been pretty lame games the last 20 years or so.
Only explanation for hating Miami anywhere near as much as FSU is you live in Coral Gables.

I'm from South Florida, so I know some pretty good old Cane fanes. The young ones are mostly shite. It is a great rivalry, but was better before Miami became NYC of the tropics. April 15, 1980 fricked everything up.

Most UF fans want FSU and GA to lose every game. There are some UF fans that don't hate Miami nearly as bad and don't mind if they win sometimes when not playing UF. Most UF fans want Miami to beat FSU.

FSU hate the Gators the most because they know they’re inferior. This is by far the biggest rivalry. Miami has always been irrelevant, which is why we stopped playing them every year.

As an All-American kid that's grown up across this country in nine states, including Florida, and attended UF from a primarily influenced North Jersey background I've got good perspective on this subject, haha.
I'm not a native Floridian by birth, that was ole Jeff Davis Hospital in Houston back in the day where my dad from North Jersey met my mom from Eastern Mass and we lived in Northside Houston aka Aldine, TX. Fun fact, also did a year of high school in Tombstone, AZ, haha, I'm a Yankees fan native born Texan that's lived all over, hence my Ramblin' American name.
Because Miami is North Jersey/NYC with palm trees, I hate them the most because of that ghetto hood trash and guido bullshite that is prevalent in both areas. I dealt with that shite living in North Jersey during my formative years so I have disdain for Miami, the football program, the fanbase, the city, the "culture". Also, UF used to play Miami more and those games got heated.
FSU is just a former all girls school with clowns and a circus that used state taxpayer money to build up Ron Zook Field in Tally because they're not as independently wealthy or have as smart students or fans as UF. The State legislature forced UF to play them annually back in the day. When I attended UF over 20 years ago the Noles were beating our asses so I got some hate from that, especially the Swindle in the Swamp game. Miami was also beating our asses then too when they had those stacked NFL players teams of early 00's.
To summarize, all three teams and fanbases are heated rivals but as a non guido non ghetto person with a Yankee background and Southern influences since childhood, the loud, obnoxious, blowhard, ghetto hood trash that is "Miami" puts them in the greater disdain category, haha.
If I went to the game this year in MI-yay-yoooo I'd cruise around blasting that Swamp...Swamp...Swamp...Swamp Music by Skynryd for all to hear, haha.
F**k yeah, cfb is back, haha.

FSU is a top 35 academic school with multiple NCs.
How do they correlate to Texas Tech?
Posted on 8/23/25 at 4:49 pm to jonnyanony
Obviously not a direct correlation but I do think UF removing Miami from the schedule hurt Miami in more ways than they’d admit. Miami really relied on UF and FSU as their two marquee games/year. Florida leaned on the SEC where as Miami kinda just faded into irrelevance.
