I’m not a Mississippi resident or native, but I remember seeing a barbecue joint in Starkville many years ago, and the slogan was “a taste of the ‘Sip”

I didn’t know if Ole Miss or State were known as the Sip. When Lane’s recruiting tags, ‘Come to the Sip’, I thought it implied Ole Miss was the official Sip.

And because of this Mississippi "sip" thing...
I think it is only Aggies who should be allowed to call Texas "sips" due to their time honored tradition.
There are plenty of other endearing derogatory names that other SEC fans can use for Texas to avoid confusion..
