Congrats on your 2025 National Championship Texas Longhorns!
SEC loves you and gave you the easiest schedule ever playing the 4 worst teams in the conference: Miss State, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Arkansas.
SEC wanted Texas in and gave them Natty! Congrats!

Someone needs to revoke your Blue Blood status.

Texas runs things. That's just how we roll. Your administration wanted to cling desperately to our coattails, "We'll go wherever you go. Please take us with you, Texas. Please! Pleeeeeeeeease!"
"Sure, but you get the short straw."
"Thank you! Thank you for giving us your sloppy seconds! Thank you!"
"You're welcome."

So who's alt is this?

Hahahaha......you losers didn't even have any relationship with the SEC offices because you never considered joining in the first place. You wanted to join the PAC or the B1G because you thought you were too good to be associated with the SEC.
We had the relationships with them.
It was YOU clinging to our coattails so you didn't get left in the BIG XII all by yourself. We were the ones who were leaving.

Clearly you’re 100% correct.
Give OU the hardest schedule and give Texas the easiest schedule!
Just don’t blow it this season because the schedule will get harder next year

Well, the SEC will keep trying to make sure Texas plays OU, Arkansas, and A&M each year, so it won't get that difficult.

Miss State and Kentucky and Vanderbilt could get replaced with Alabama and LSU

The Utrans athletic department worked very hard to get that schedule
Who knows how many dicks they sucked around the Birmingham area to make that schedule
Let’s not pretend like they didn’t earn it
on their hands and knees

There is truth to that. OU was going to join the Pac with us back in the 2010s.
David Boren begged for Big 10 admittance for a couple of decades.
Texas never approached the Pac this last go around. By that time the Pac was a clear second fiddle at best. They approached both the Big 10 and the SEC. The Big 10 wanted a public discourse around joining the conference, but Texas knew that wouldn't work because the Texas legislature would get involved just like they did with the ending of the SWC.
But Sankey promised a closed door negotiation. He even promised to keep A&M in the dark, then after it was a done deal they strong armed the Aggies to vote yes to make the vote unanimous.
But Texas didn't need OU connections to get it done. I do know Texas officials preferred to join alongside OU, but they would have joined with or without OU. I will say the exit fee was more of an obstacle for OU, but ESPN bought out the Sooner tier 3 rights to help make the Big 12 departure more palatable financially.

Those will be fun games to play. So will Tennessee and Ole Miss. I look forward to all of them. Much better than the sisters of the poor in the Big 12.
In the meantime, we'll play the games on the schedule and see how it turns out.

You didn't have a choice but to follow us to the SEC after your desire to go independent like Notre Dame failed because your attempt to brand yourself nationally with ESPN sank like a stone.
Turns out you'd need millions of Catholics nationwide who identify with your school, even if they didn't attend, to pull that off. Who knew?
