Birmingham, Ala. (August 6, 2025) – The Southeastern Conference unveiled its 144-game men’s basketball schedule for the 2026 season on Wednesday.

Conference play tips off Saturday, January 3, and concludes Saturday, March 7, with “Rivalry Saturday,” featuring several traditional rivalries. The SEC Tournament returns to Nashville, Tenn., as Bridgestone Arena will host the event from March 11-15, 2026.

Each SEC team plays the other 15 teams at least once during league play. Three teams will be played a second time during the schedule – two which are permanent opponents and one that will change each year.

The SEC is coming off one of the most dominate seasons in history. SEC teams won a record 88.9 percent (185-23) of their regular season non-conference games in 2025. Their KenPom.com rating of +22.09 was the highest in history. In 2025, the SEC also set NCAA records with 14 NCAA Tournament selections and seven Sweet 16 teams while tying the NCAA record with four teams in the Elite Eight. Auburn and Florida advanced to the Final Four with the Gators winning the league’s first national championship since 2012.

Midweek games (Tuesday or Wednesday), game times and television information will be announced at a later date.

Can we just skip football season?

Hold up, shouldn't this be opposite? We only played in Lexington last season.

One of these things is not like the other..

Why wouldn't it have been GA/SC and OM/MSU?

We play twice this season. In Gainesville the first game, this is the last game.

There may be 10 people at this game and that's being generous. I am fully expecting this season to be another disaster.
