Saturdays as a kid..list 1 or 2 memories you never forget..
I have 2..
1. In the very early 80s listening to Clemson on the radio at noon hoping for a loss and then listening to Bob Fulton at night..
2. Then later, Getting Gamecock Fever magazine and reading about Spanky Woods, Steve Fatteyhill and the adventures of Cockwheat.
while eating at the biscuit house across from the fairgrounds.

Freshman year of college, I remember being with my good friends for that UF guy in the swamp where Garcia truck sticked a LB to score. I knew we clinched our spot in the SEC title game. Heck even the build up to the title game was fun.

2005 @ UT.
I was a teen. It was my first away game. It was me and my dad. We had obviously never won in Knoxville and hadn't beaten them since 1992. Even though they finished with a losing record, at that point they were still #23. As such, the whole up me and my family were just telling ourselves we were just going "for the experience," and try not to get too excited or we'll just set ourselves up to be let down.
We were in the upper deck on the side of what would be the GW kick. I can still remember thinking that it was going to be well short... but it just kept going and going and going and barely squeaked in. Our section jumped out of our seats so much I nearly tumbled down a few rows.

I've got a few. My parents were season ticketholders in the Mid-1980s.
I think it was the Duke Game in 1984. I remember sitting in the Upper deck and we took a punt return back to the house.
Even though it was a loss, the 1986 Nebraska game stands out to me. We were on the West side, which were the visitors side back then, and I remember seeing Tom Osborne. His personal proceeded him and as a kid, he seemed like a giant in both size and stature. They were #2 or 3 at them time I think we lost by a point or two.
I also remember Big George vs Herschel in the early 80's but that game is a little fuzzier.

1992 at Clemson. Taneyhill, Penny, Cates, Deboer and Bennett.
1993 at Georgia. Brandon Benbett over the top. The radio call is insane.

which perspective wise is crazy to think about. Up until 2005 we as Gamecock fans didnt really think we had much chance to win a ranked game on the road, especially against an SEC power.
Now even when we are bad we still expect our teams to compete with good SEC teams on the road. The program has quietly elevated itself, expectations, and results.
