Hopefully he makes an impact. Seems like the lions have a thing for Razorback players.

He’s still balling out. Is the coaching staff retarded? Specifically Bobby. If you can’t tell you have a special talent at receiver that Taylen needs to get the damn ball to maybe he really is over the hill.

Why do you act as though our coaches are above reproach? Anytime anyone says anything critiquing the coaching staff you are right there to take up the shield for them? Why is that?

Why do you constantly attack coaches whether it’s their fault or not..anytime anyone says something good about them you attack them. Why is that?

I don’t. I’ve praised Pittman plenty. He’s not the worst coach we could have by far. I think he’s great at development and pretty good at scouting. I think if we hire him before this new age where everyone cares about money he’d be an exceptional recruiter as well but he struggles mightily with in game management and this new age of college football is out of his depth. I’m sorry you thought I was coming at you but I was truly asking In good faith. I’ve never see. You be critical of any coach in any sport we have so just wondered why that was.

What good does negativity do when it is out of frustration and unwarranted. I was plenty down on Chad when it became clear he didn’t know what he was doing but I’m generally supportive of someone trying to do their job and Sam is definitely working hard to do his. He’s not the reason for every little bad thing that comes down the pike. But I don’t expect anyone else to feel like I do.

Chaggy sucked hind boars tit...

Sam sucks.... sometimes, but not anything like that.

Sam is a good finder of talent, I wouldn't say that he was good at development however.. Not really. He finds good coaches overall.

and he is good with the public. Man, he... and we... need a 9-10 win season for sure.

You know it’s funny, I remember Hatfield having 9 and 10 win seasons but towards the end of his tenure there was grumbling within the fanbase that it wasn’t enough and his offense was boring and such. He finally left.

Does anyone think in today’s climate that Arkansas is going to win a championship? That’s the goal, not 9 or 10 wins. When Sam is run off we’ll most likely get whatever we can get as coach and start from the bottom again because all the good players can leave now. Our program is in a tough spot right now who knows what the answer is, but I’m going to enjoy this season and whatever happens, happens. Same as it ever was.

Petrino decides who plays on offense.

His teams always had one or two guys who they talked about needed to have more touches during games and for whatever reason it was always just talk.

well his staff has been I think. We just haven’t had many guys actually stick with our program but we all have our opinion. My knock has never been on Pittman only Hunter. I think he’s a horrible AD.

it’s not my goal. My goal is to have a good football team. Same as any sport. Winning a championship takes luck. Being in a position to compete for a title, make the playoffs, etc. is all you can really ask. Do you think we should fire Calipari if we don’t win a title in hoops in 5 years, are you with dale and think we should run off van horn? If so then ironically you are much tougher on coaches than I am because I would never hold a coach to championship or bust standards

oh like our starting tight end? Starting corner? Starting receiver? Because this tale has already been told. Remember that was why we didn’t let Sam go the last 2 years, it was because everyone would leave if we were looking for a new coach. And both years guys left anyway. So come up with something new

I don’t think we should fire any of our coaches, that’s your job.

I’m a fan of a team who has went 4-8,6-6,6-6 and is staring down the barrel of another 6-6 season at best. Yeah, fans tend to want to see their teams succeed. Btw you’ve provided great substance in this thread. A lot of points backed up by reason and logic.

I mean we pay Sam millions of dollars a year but your stance is, hell he tries give him a lifetime contract

I’m just debating the other side of things that I don’t agree with. I guess I’m too defensive of the program but that’s what I learned growing up in the program all these years. I guess I can’t help it sometimes.

It bothers me how negative people are these days, it’s contagious.

and it bothers me we’ve only beaten drinkwitz once. Again, being negative or positive is not good or bad in and of itself. But to me there’s a time to be excited and happy about where your team is and a time to rightfully question if you are headed in the right direction. I have not seen anything from our football program in years to make me think we are headed in the right direction. And like any company when the company is trending downwards the guy at the top tends to get the axe. Warranted or not.

This. The “hogs gonna hog” bullshite has seriously set in our fan base and is part of the culture almost. Feels like it’s cool cus we’ll somehow find a new epic way to mess up a game. Need to fix that mentality somehow in all sports, I had seeing text, post etc lol we lost again hogs gonna hog. Drives me insane.

I mean... can you blame people?

Everyone loves the hogs, but lets be honest here. We find new ways to screw up every year in multiple sports.

People being negative is just a coping mechanism. I find it funny. All we have to do is break thru and win a championship in something. That will lift all spirits.
