Not that I like the direction conference alignment has gone at all but would be a huge victory for the SEC. Give me UVA too and call it a day. PLEASE.

I get UNC certainly but why UVA? Should we go after Duke, FSU, Vtech, Miami before Virginia?

Just wondering. Not insulting in any way.

It’s mainly about new TV markets. Would add two new states to the conference. UVA has a lot money and prestige too, and they’re average in the big 2…we don’t need everyone to be elite

No more expansion, please.

But *if* it has to be done to cause us and the Big 10 to break away, give me programs with a strong football culture over UNC any day.

I’d take Clemson and FSU as #1 and #2.

After that I’d honestly look at OK State. At least they are more competitive in football and have more passionate fans. I know financially UNC makes more sense, but the addition of Missouri was also a financial decision at the time.

frick no.

I mean, I'd be all about playing those shitstains every year, but no. That's a worse cultural fit than even Texas.

TV footprint growth. Those other schools add little to nothing in value with new viewers. But I do like the VA tech. UM might be an add but most of the state of florida follows the SEC and UM barely sells out FB

Football is eventually going to 2 giant conferences. Accept it and get over it.

Pretty much. It’s either us or the Big 10 and they already have a west coast presence. We don’t need the big 10 taking the best of the ACC.

Not that I like any of this too but just the way it is.

We should go after Notre Dame over all those schools.

Adds huge television markets in every major city regardless of location.

They have a great athletic program as a whole.

That would be a grand slam addition.

Maybe we should just expand to 20 teams and let the original 10 all play each other and put the newbies in the other division:

The OG Division:
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
LSU
Ole Miss
Miss St
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

The NewBloods Division:
Arkansas
Clemson
Florida State
Missouri
Oklahoma
North Carolina
South Carolina
Texas
Texas A&M
Virginia Tech

12-game schedule. Play all 9 teams in your division plus 2 from the other. One OOC game.
