Bama fans know this in their heart of hearts which is extremely painful for them. When they miss the playoffs this season it is going to get extremely ugly. Feel bad for the The Bore family because of this.

He took a team riddled with Saban recruits that was a play away from a national championship appearance then went 9-4 with an embarrassing bowl loss.

He took a team riddled with Saban recruits that WERE SUITED TO PLAY IN SABAN'S SYSTEM.

Alabama implemented new schemes on offense and defense with players that were recruited to play completely different ones.

Jesus Christ, it's not that difficult to comprehend.

This shouldn’t be coming from LSU fans lol. Safe to say though I think both LSU and Alabama were wishing they could redo their coaching searches.

I don't like him. But I think I am the only Bama fan on this board that feels that way

They're mediocre now!

Their coach doesn't know what he's doing!

The program is headed downhill!

They... beat us 42-13 at our house.

Never change, LSU fans.

Never, ever change.

This sounds like you’re saying Bama is fricked without actually saying it.

If he averages 3-4 losses over the next 2 years he will be fired.

Those are LSU standards and we won't have it.

How did that translate to the Vanderbilt game?

I'm saying anyone expecting the train to just keep rolling while acknowledging scheme changes on both sides of the ball are morons.

Remember what Brian Kelly said when he was hired?

"Judge me on Year 3."

Why did he say that?

Speak for yourself. When we hired Kalen DeBoer in 2024, he was essentially one of the two best available hires - the other being Dan Lanning at Oregon. He's recruiting well right now, we haven't had any major turnover on the roster or on the coaching staff, and he's finally got his system in place.

This year is going to tell us everything we need to know about where the program is headed. Most Alabama fans are optimistic. We'll find out if that optimism is misplaced here in the next two months or so.

The dude literally restored Washington back to football relevance (where they immediately declined after he left) and maintained Bama's recruiting standards to my chagrin (though Saban and Miss Terry are helping clearly), just Bama isn't the standard they were in the 2010s now and that's the reality of college football, everyone's just great at this sport now

Of course he's not. There's not a Bama fan that honestly believes he can get it done. They'll claim he's viable, but they know he's not.
