There was a big thread on another site where Auburn fans were moaning about being tapped out after basketball season and getting tired of seeing all of the athletic departments email about donating. 400 dollars for Alabama tickets and another 25 at Chili's. A thousnd dollar weekend at the SEC tourney in Nashville. Following the team across the country for March Madness and then take the family to the FInal Four, even grandma and the mother in law. Auburn already is the junior varsity SEC program in a state ranked 46th in income. I am genuinely concerned about Auburn's football recruiting.

Many sports fans, myself included, have speculated that many schools will have to decide which sports to focus on as their budget allows. Unfortunately for Mississippi St. They're in a competitive conference with some economically advantaged schools. I reckon this is beginning to shake out and assume more conference movement and realignments to come.

Wondering why the OP, a UGA fan, is “genuinely concerned” about Auburn recruiting? If anything you should be elated.

What a moronic pastime for a uga fan. There is something shameful for those who get such glee about where a 17 year old may attend school. You are another quintessential southern football zealot who does not know fluff from substance. You are doomed for a joyless life of desperation. Woof, woof.
