Why doesn’t Longhorns’ recruiting translate to the NFL?

Gentlemen, I’d like to bring your attention to the consistent challenge for the Texas Longhorns when it comes to translating elite recruiting into NFL Draft production.
Since 2000, Texas has maintained an impressive average recruiting class rank of 7.7. However, their 69 total NFL Draft picks (2000-2024) significantly trail other programs: Alabama with 156 picks (4.6 average rank), LSU with 132 picks (7.4 average rank), and Georgia with 127 picks (6.1 average rank). This, along with not accomplishing jack shite in 20 years isn’t reason for Texas fans to be arrogant and entitled, they should be embarrassed and ashamed.
Even during a recruiting dip for Texas from 2012-2015 (classes ranked #18, #15, #16, #10), their number of recruits being picked at graduation time didn’t drastically shift. It should be noted that all other classes were top 10, most of which were in at least the top 6, several even in the top 3. Sad!
With all the coaching changes, and changes to football as a whole, there’s one common theme here: failure. I would argue this isn’t a coaching issue, it is a culture issue.
Will the move to the SEC change this culture of utter disgrace, or is the culture so ingrained that Texas will become perpetual dead weight for the conference?
Discuss.

Where does "whoring out uniforms for cash" fall on the culture scale. Is that SEC culture, or just an LSU sellout sort of thing?

Why doesn't LSU do anything about their own football team's failure to make the playoffs with the current LSU HC?

If you’re going to troll my discussion threads you can go ahead and troll elsewhere.
And honestly you’re a Mizzou fan you should also post elsewhere.

Missouri has failed to make the playoffs with all of its coaches.

UTrans’ most successful alum to ever play in the NFL is a kicker and a massive pervert
Mizzou fans with Bevo balls in their mouth all because Brian Kelly ruined their greatest season of all-time before taking their two best coaches

Didn't Mizzou have two ads painted on its field last season?

Everyone does that.
Isn't LSU supposed to be the gatekeeper for SEC culture?

NFLSU is that you?
Also, what a stupid thread Texas fans know our culture sucked from 2010 - ~2022ish. You are not bringing any new discussions points. Also using recruiting rankings to NFL draft picks is such a lazy barometer for NFL success. How many players actually made a team is a much greater comparison and I would argue Texas (for reasons you already know) had a lot of recruiting bumps in the mid 2000s as recruiting rankings are all about $$$.

I’m trying to think of a UTrans alum who’s done anything special in the NFL, but besides your perv of a kicker, I’m not coming up with anything.

I think it has a lot to do with high school football in the state of texas. Those kids max out on potential so young because of the programs there, that once they get to college as a highly rated recruit, they're at their ceiling already. It inflates texas' recruiting rankings.

No. Steve McMichael is in the Pro Football HOF. Jamaal Charles and Tommy Nobis are better than Tucker, just to name three. Also, Phil Dawson is a better NFL kicker.
All better than tigers in the NFL including Y.A. Tittle.

From the way Texas joined the SEC and acted like they owned the place I’d say otherwise.
