It's turning into another solid class for this staff. While I know Griffin is from Georgia, I'm happy to see that DeBoer is starting to make in-state in-roads. It's looking like this could be another Top 3 class.

Alabama has two of the top three rated prospects from the state of Georgia.

Comapre the Georgia coaching staff's track record for putting linebackers into the NFL versus Bama's coaching staff, and tell me why any linebacker would commit to Bama over Georgia it it wasn't all about the $$$.

Still does not change what was posted as he is one of the top HS prospects in the state of GA for 2026 according to every site.

Alabama is 9-1 against Georgia in their last 10 matchups.

Kalen DeBoer is 1-0 against Kirby Smart.

Guess winning matters to some kids.

Also:

New numbers have been revealed as to how well funded each school’s collective is, and the numbers are absolutely staggering.

To no one’s surprise, the collective of the Texas Longhorns is leading the way. The Texas One Fund, according to NCAA estimates has $22.2 million, leading not just the SEC but the entire country. Interestingly, the second place school does not come from the SEC.

Ohio State, who was incredibly active in the last transfer portal cycle which NIL obviously plays a huge factor, has a collective funding of $20.2 million. The next three schools after Ohio State all came from the SEC, but it might not be who you think.

LSU was the only other school to top $20 million, coming in just behind Ohio State with $20.1 million. Behind the Tigers was Georgia with $18.3 million and Texas A&M with $17.2 million.

Why is Georgia spending more money than Alabama if they don't have to?

If winning mattered , National Championships in the last 3 years. Georgia 2 Alabama 0.

Georgia #2 293
Alabama #8 252

I think we will be ok.

Cool.

I'm not the guy slinging bullshite about recruits picking Alabama over Georgia solely for money.

This comes off as sour grapes. Alabama’s staff just had a first round pick at LB. Jihaad Campbell. Who Griffin has been compared to. I’m guessing there’s more to his decision than just money.

The fact he grew up in Huntsville, AL, his mother played basketball at Alabama, and his grandfather lives in Tuscaloosa obviously has nothing to with him choosing Alabama

Why would you not spend it if you've got it to spend? Weird question, sir.

I agree with this. The ties to Alabama likely were a tie breaker here as much as anything. Probably not a huge difference in pay, though I will say most of our recruits, especially ones with offers from the top tier programs, are taking slightly less to play with us than they could get at other schools. Not saying that school is Bama. But people that clearly would know this are saying it. Mainly with Miami, FSU, Texas, etc.

I'm sure everyone is having to figure out how to handle this, but I know we're telling kids that we're not gonna pay you more than guys that are already producing on the field for us. You do that and you're gonna have internal team issues as some have already had.
