Don't forget an offensive innovator, Red Parker from Fordyce. He coached at The Citadel and Clemson. I was fortunate to get to know Coach while he was leading the Fighting Okra at Delta State. He left DSU to be offensive coordinator at Ole Miss

Sounds like you can just claim anyone you want and come up with some insane reason why it makes sense.

My older brother talked so much about Red Parker back then. Burned into my brain. Went to Southern State same time as Tubberville. He was team manager. So meek and mild it surprised me he became head coach

Yeah I’m surprised you didn’t put drinkwitz on this list given the success he’s had at App St and Mizzou. Brought Mizzou back to relevance and is an AR native. I’m an LSU fan but Arkansas native and I’ve always wondered why we as a state seem to pump out quality coaches but struggle to consistently produce blue chip players.

Hogs in state talent died years ago when federal court started oversight of little Rock school district. Started busing which took a lot money. Took money from athletics + the busing reduced community involvement. The big high schools in LR and NLR had no money and no participation anymore. So very few recruits anymore from there. That's why recruiting sucks
