When you give a team 4 extra outs in an inning, especially in the bottom of the 9th,

you are going to lose.
First baseman out of his lane for a certain out. One extra out.
All American, top draft pick shortstop with a sure game ending double play, taking a force at third instead. Two extra outs. Did he lose track of the outs and think there were already two out?
Left fielder trips over his own feet on a routine game ending liner, ball hits ground, two runs score. Another extra out.
People talk about DVH and choking. No, his players have let him down TWICE in the CWS at the most inopportune times.

What difference would this make? You don't need to get the lead runner if there are two outs.

To get this far is a task all on its own. The calls to can him are...retarded at best

Did you not read? If there were two outs and he made that play game is over. Poster was speaking inn hypotheticals.

No, the only explanation is Aloy had to think there were two outs and this would end the game.

LF took a step back, at that point he has to play ball off the hop. His mistake was going for the catch on a sinking liner w a two run lead.

It wasn't Dave either time and every loss he's taken it. That's coaches being coaches as we all know. Jay would say/do the same.
Go get that 8th trophy (spit). We'll be behind y'all

I think 6 was going to beat it out either way

Agreed, but DVH often times deserves blame on how he handles his BP. Last night not being one of them, in a vacuum, but when looking at the wider picture, we would’ve been cooked tonight.

Bulsh. The lineup and pen last night never came into play. It was defense that killed us

Yep. That’s college baseball and the New York Yankees in game 5 of the WS. Defensive miscues.

LSU gave Arky a few extra outs as well. I realize they were not in the 9th inning but they still were give aways if we are keeping score.
Catcher’s interference gave an extra out but LSU did not let Arky capitalize on it.
Not turning the double play led to 2 runs for Arky.
Slipping down on the “fake steal of 2nd base essentially took a run off the board for LSU.

He went forward, then back, then forward again which caused him to slip it looked like.
If he would have gone with his initial read, game over.

Arkansas could be up 12 with two outs in the bottom of the ninth with the bases empty, and Van Horn would blow it.
And regardless of if they had won last night, you know damn well he'd shite the bed today.
It's what they do in all sports.

As I said, last night was not one of those times.

There was no choking, it was guys trying to do to much and getting out of their routine and fundamentals. It was effort to be honest. Kid should not have tried to end the game on the line drive, he should have let it bounce and field it. Yes, he gives up a run, but he keeps it 4 - 5. It was just a kid trying to hard and not thinking it through.

I mean, that's kind of the definition of choking in sports.
I feel for them. But obviously thrilled LSU did not have to play an extra game.

I'll have to break away i guess. Yellow Bone 8 vs Coastal 2 is an easy pick.

He obviously didn't because he would've started premature celebrating if he thought he got the last out. He didn't react at all.
The reality is he was being way too conservative (probably nerves) and took the easiest route to an out.

Fielder always thinks where he’s going with the ball before the pitch. It was the most routine DP ball hit right at him. Was going to 3rd really what he had in mind before the pitch?
When he made that mistake, I knew they were cooked.
