So SEC legacy fans what's your thoughts of Texas and OU in their first year of the conference? As a Texas fan I'm still getting used to the conference and I've enjoyed the upgraded competition. I'm also starting too dislike teams that I never had any bad feelings for, like Georgia. Helps when they beat us twice last year. I feel like a little rivalry is starting with them. Any SEC fans travel to Austin? Just want to get your thoughts on what you guys think of the 2 newcomers.

I like playing Texas in all sports again.

OU is a natural geographic opponent.

OU is a women’s sport school so they’ve been ok

Texas is just full of themselves although more competitive than OU has been.

I can admit that Texas has done much better than I expected. I think Sark turned a corner in 2023 and that positioned them well coming in. Baseball team won the SEC in year one and that was amidst a lot of good teams this year in the conference…13 went to regionals, I think?

I don’t like any of this and I’ll talk shite to them all day, lol. But I can’t deny that they’ve had success.

I think Oklahoma has a lot of work to do in football if they want to contend. That program doesn’t seem to have had the same identity since Stoops left. Can’t speak to their other sports.

No offense to the last two teams to join the conference, but a lot better than them. Texas is pretty annoying like having the Cowboys in your division, but I like Oklahoma, and they’re both great sports programs.

I've only recently started to accept Arkansas and South Carolina.

I don't give a shite what anyone says, they don't belong in the SEC. It ain't right.

I was honestly underwhelmed by OU's support of their team in Oxford. Their crowd was quiet and there weren't really a whole lot of them.

I'm looking forward to the return trip to Oklahoma.

I'm excited to have both teams. I'm a bit disappointed that Texas fans don't really understand the SEC and still feel the need to shite on the conference that gave them a home in the new world of sports. I feel that OU fans have adopted the concept more willingly. The SEC is a safe home. We aren't going anywhere, unlike the ACC, PAC, and Big 12, which will likely be down regulated in some form or fashion.

Based on recent Big12 results, I figured Oklahoma would be challenging every one and Texas at the bottom. But, that's completely reversed.

I think they both have overall great athletic programs. I do think the Lincoln Riley situation left them reeling. I don’t get the BV hire . I think he is definitely not the right hire. I’m surprised that they didn’t go all in on fat Josh. I think OU would be the school he would leave Tennessee for.

Arkansas still sucks at football, but Oklahoma is gaining on us. They're the next Arkansas.

The conference is stronger than ever. Texas and OU bring programs that will deliver more national titles to the SEC across the board.

The SEC now competes for the top spot in nearly every sport. Football, hoops, baseball, softball, tennis, swimming, T&F, gymnastics and golf. Both Texas and OU have added to the national title trophy case in year one.

I think most OU fans come into the conference with humility and gratefulness. We're happy to be here. Our football program has not been at the level it once was, and after Riley, it wasn't built to compete in the SEC. That will change.

Every team with an opening for a decade threw money at that guy to try to lure him to be their HC. He ended up sucking but I can't blame OU except for the fact that a HC position is a different animal than a coordinator position. Some make the leap and some don't. He was unproven but I don't think it was a bad hire at the time.

I don't think so. Different is not the same.

And what do you think now? Bad hire? I think Josh H would have been a much better hire
