Heading to BR on Sat to watch LSU-WVU (have a lot of family that went to WVU and my cousin is in Nola). What are some can't miss post game places for a beer and some good grub?

You have to go and sit at the rooftop bar. It’s exactly what you are looking for if you want good food and beer

Elsie’s
Chimes
Ruth’s Chris
Mansur’s (should be at top)
Gino’s, diguilio brothers, nino’s, little village, ruffino’s, there’s a great Italian scene in BR
Mike Anderson’s
Just off the top of my head. Lots to bitch about with BR but there’s a great dining scene

Appreciate it. Chimes looks awesome but will check out the others. Gonna leave Houston at 6am or so to try and get settled in. I've driven through BR a dozen+ times but never hung out so looking forward to seeing the stadium and town.

It’s been years since I’ve honestly been in town for an extended period but those off the top are staples. You’ll drive a little for some but they’re worth it.
The dining scene has grown a lot since I left so I’m sure others will chime in but those are classics.

I guess Parrain’s isn’t popular around here.

Disagree with this one, quality has gone down significantly.

Also not at all unique to Baton Rouge. Hell we have one in Birmingham.

That too, it’s a chain place. Better to eat at a unique spot.
