I don’t follow college baseball: Are all these sec teams with early exits a surprise?

Just reading my Twitter feed today and seeing sec teams left and right getting ousted early.

Is this normal?

A&M exiting before the NCAAT after starting the season ranked #1 is definitely not a surprise

No, pretty much every SEC team other than LSU regularly loses at home in their regionals.

More surprising than Big 37 fans polluting an SEC Board.

It just seems like a lot because an alarmingly high % of teams are from the SEC. The trash teams like UGA and VANDY were the chaff of the SEC.

What? The SEC has been by far the most dominant in baseball out of all sports.

Vandy and UGA were badly overrated by the selection committee

Yet, I bet you $100 an SEC team will win the national championship this year. A bet you won’t take.

Some of the mid-range teams shouldn’t have made the tournament

Shamoan - the elite SEC teams are excellent. The conference as a whole is overrated. 13 of the 16 teams did not deserve a spot in the tournament

5 of the last national champions and ALL from different teams lol. Almost true for 6 but Arkansas screwed it up.

Not a regional.

But… understand the sentiment.

Lots of teams on, we won all year with HRs despite our bullpen , caught up with us today.

Still a good year.

Four of thirteen have been eliminated. Three have zero losses going into the finals, the rest have one loss and are playing in their finals needing 2 wins.
The Big 10 had four teams, none east of Nebraska, two have been eliminated, and two, both California schools, are undefeated going into the finals. Not a single team from traditional Big 10 country even made the tournament.
