I stormed the field in 1985 when we beat Michigan to go Omaha in the Regional. We all jumped over the outfield fence and ran into the infield area and home plate.
Did not get arrested nor did we get fined.

But it was a lot of fun to be a part.

It was probably 1500-2000 people in
all total.

I can’t speak for the rest of the country but at The Box it would get in the way of the underdog team taking a victory lap around the field.

Seems like there was one after a World Series, Boston I think? People were tearing out seats and ripping up the turf for souvenirs.

The opposing team has bats.

Can you imagine a woman beating Bammer like Jermaine Burton if you gave that punk a bat?

It happened once at A&M’s field on Pride/Assless Chaps night. Early 80’s. AIDS pandemic started shortly thereafter
