1st time I have been up to Fayetteville (well second). Previous was to Bud Walton to see a night basketball game against Wade's 2019 team. Didn't get to see much at night.
Campus is beautiful. Arky baseball fans are cool. The box desperately needs to get rid of the cheap bleacher seats.
Also LSU is fricked this weekend. 7/9 of Arky's hitters are batting over .300

You came at a perfect time. Beautiful weather (after the storms of course) great rivalry game and spring time only bested by Autumn imo. I remember taking my pastor who was from Texas to the Arkansas versus Ole Miss game about 6 years ago and he couldn't believe this many people would show up for a college baseball game. He didn't follow college sports all that much back then so I forgave him like Jesus said I needed to lol. Now he's a huge Razorback fan and have since went to multiple games at Baum, Bud Walton and Razorback stadium.

Well at least you got to see one of those teams.

I'd like to try to make it back up for the Notre Dame football game.
But yeah, the weather was absolutely perfect. Kids have my full blessing to go to school there

More Texan kids defect and then suddenly overnight they hate the schools of their home state.

I just want to say that it’s still tough to wrap my mind around us playing Texas in Baum late in the season in a conference series. I wish I could have been there because it would have been amazing to finally see that again.

I was at the game Thursday and it was the best experience I ever had at Baum. Almost 11,000 in attendance and hog fans were heckling Texas players all game.

Last time that happened, the venue looked like this:

Took in the Friday night game and the atmosphere was crazy.
My first game of the year as I live 700 miles south of Baum.
Hoping to catch a game in the Tennessee series.
Glad you enjoyed it, it's truly a special ballpark

They do it because 99% cant get into Texas or ATM because they changed automatic admission to state schools to top 4% I believe and Ark offers in state tuition to lure Texas kids. Its a business decision for Ark.
BTW no hate towards those kids who cant get into TX or ATM out of high school, just pointing out the reason why its happening.

Ah the old Texas ignorance I mean, arrogance. Wrong of course, but whatever floats your boat.

So basically "medium" smart Texas kids are pushing dumber Oklahoma and Arkansas kids to Arkansas State and SE Oklahoma St.
Checks out.

Good for Arkansas. It’s a shame how they do admissions at Texas and A&M now. Friends daughter at our church had straight As at one of the toughest schools in Houston. Arkansas, OU, LSU all offered her full rides but she couldn’t even get into Texas or A&M. And she wanted to go to Texas. She ended up at OU and loved it.
Anyway, I only saw the games on TV but that stadium was beautiful. Real grass, etc. Really does make the Disch look like crap in comparison.

It's funny how kids have to go to a football school, no matter where it is.
There's about a dozen UT-system universities that would have taken her.
It's all about the party and the name.

Actually had more to do with the free ride. Ånd she's really not into the partying thing. Wants to go into special forces like her cousin who is a Ranger.
Anyway my point is that it's ridiculous that a Texas kid who made straight A's at Incarnate Word Academy (very tough school) couldn't get into UT because she wasn't in the top 4% (or whatever it is now) of her class. But she's white so maybe that had something to do with it, dunno. She aboslutely loves OU though. I hope Texas wins all the games but I wouldn't hesitate sending my daughter to Arkansas/OU due to asinine admittance policies, especially if they're offering the same tuition.
