Now I understand why there are some many Bammers on this board. No one has mentioned a Bama board as a fav.

More than one. I'm almost up to 200 posts . . . after being on this Board for 6 years.

Can you imagine? The SEC Rant is pretty bad as it is.

That mississippi state message board is quite funny. I love to go over there and just laugh. I love MS fans...I think cute is the word for them.

Most Bammer message boards do not even allow rival fans to post on their site.

A Georgia site called Dawgrant.com is slow, but it can be pretty good at times. I agree that this is the best SEC message board.

Lots of SEC fans hate TD because you have to have thick skin and you have to know what you're doing to survive here. You also get challenged on stuff and most fans don't like that. The best thing that the admins did was starting the SEC Rant, though. It was a mess when Tiger Rant was filled with rival fans. This gives everyone a place to play and we can join together if we want to.

I like TD because even though there are Rantards everywhere, you can still have a good debate, talk smack, joke around, and have fun pulling for your team. Plus, if the rivals fans are at least somewhat decent and don't flame constantly, you actually get to kind of like one another, even while you're making fun of their team. That's how its supposed to be, I think.

Well said.

This is the best in the SEC no doubt because of the SEC Rant. I go to hogville.net pretty often, but this is the place to be for SEC news. IMO the best message board of all is texags.com. There is always some great stuff going on in the A and M Football, Rivalries, and General parts of the board.

Yeah, this is where we get to talk and argue with the fans of other schools.

TD has good info, if you know how to get through the sarcasm. Truly freedom of speech.

I've visited the following:

- Volnation: think that Kiffin is the new messiah and any recruits' name that is mentioned "has to commit to Tenn". Everyone in the nation is afraid of UT, now. They sound like a certain Pac10 team.

- Tidefans: more like a "make me feel good" site for Bama fan rehab. Pretty mild, though. Everyone "speaks softly".

- Auburn has a blog where a mod named "Charles - The Goldmine" deletes most comments that are not pro-AU. Both Bama and AU posters alike. It's funny to hear posters call him out on it. He's like the blog daddy over there. If you really want to laugh, checkout the comments between AU & UA on a James Willis article. (LINK /)

example of delete victim: "My bad Charles.

I think the coaching staff is doing a good job on bringing guys that weren't considering Auburn initially. Let's just get him to the plains!"

(poster removed the profanity and made it more AU friendly).

Gotcha.

It's definitely entertaining, but Charles'The Goldmine is not a partial moderator.

He's like a nun with the ruler.

That newspaper blog by Goldberg has to be that way and has evolved to be that way. al.com forums are the worst on the net for retarded flaming. We are talking serious Jerry's kids retardation. The Goldmine would be just as bad with gumps flaming nonstop rendering it completely useless if it was not moderated.

Found one on Bama at "Tidesports" (a post on this in TD Recruiting Board)

There is one hilarious poster that dupes them often. He is catching some flack, now.

Here's a post about Trent Richardson:

"Yeah, I'm still committed to Alabama. But some of their fans are starting to push me away. They call me all the time, send me flowers, show up to my high school games and track meets, and are just generally coming across as overly desperate. You know; a guy likes to have the door held for him and stuff like that, but they want me to do weird stuff like calling them when I get home to 'make sure I made it in alright' and always dissecting everything I say to my other friends in order to find hidden meanings.

I know they mean well and they really are nice guys, but they are just trying to move this relationship along too fast. We should be in the early stages of getting to know each other, but they are really pressuring me to make a commitment to them before I technically can.

My mistake was letting them force me into saying some things I may not have meant early on. Now that I want to play the field and see what else might be out there, they're acting as if I'm leading them on...which is not my intention.

I really like Alabama and would love to spend my college career there, but the desperation is making me uneasy."

The thread has been deleted, but the responses to this fake quote were hilarious.
