You guys are a super scrappy team. Said to some fella Horns coming in that you guys were going to surprise us.
I enjoy the way you guys play. Steal, moving guys over, taking HBP’s and hit it all over the field. Was fun to watch, but I wouldn’t want to do it again.

They remind me of some scrappy Texas teams we used to have.. good pitching, good defense and playing a lot of small ball to manufacture some runs.. Imo a very well coached team.
I think the HBP stuff is a tad bush league, but it’s baseball and if you aren’t trying to gain an advantage in some way, you aren’t really trying..
I also had some thoughts on Burns and Saunier pitching so much.. yes, someone has to pitch, but I also feel like Kentucky does a lot of advanced analytics and scouting.. and they probably didn’t have as much data on either of those pitchers.
Either way, good series Kentucky and good luck the rest of the way.

I don’t see the HBP is bush league.
They crowd the plate and essentially take one third of the strike zone away from the pitcher or at least makes it to where you have to be absolutely perfect with your pitch when going inside.
Gives the hitters an edge to know that their pitcher has to throw middle or middle away unless you are perfect coming in and at that point it’s just a tip of the cap.

Good series Texas. Thank you for the kind comments. It is unusual on here.
