With the news of Nico and Tennessee, I can’t imagine how much it would cost to keep players from the 2000s like Reggie Bush, Cam Newton, Adrian Peterson, Tim Tebow, Vince Young, Jamarcus Russell and so on…..

I would hope such examples like Nico and A&M’s ‘22 class caution athletic programs against these ridiculous NIL deals, but that’s wishful thinking. We’ll only keep seeing more of this shite in the future. There’s no such thing as a team anymore in CFB or MBB. I can only think of a couple exceptions in college basketball, like Purdue and Michigan State, who have been able to keep their players after each season.

This. I didn’t think he was going to have a season like that. I was wrong for sure. He was smart with the momentum and success. Look at his pay day now. He also proved he wasn’t just a backup. Props.
