Who wants Lane Kiffin more? Bama or Florida or LSU, or Tenner when Heupel leaves for OU?

Yes Tennessee wants him back, per my sources.

I think some of the larger programs see themselves as "better" than Kiffin, which is dumb.

He's excelling in this new era.

A&M is crazy for not giving him a chance after they fired Jimbo, glad they didn't though.

I think OP wants him for something alright... and that's your choice.

Alabama doesn't want him.

I wouldn't be surprised if Saban warned against him privately.

He's not mature and he doesn't care about the programs he coaches, and as such he has no problem raiding them and using them up for his own gains.

He would be scary at LSU though.

He's doing the opposite of what top schools are trying to do right now and I'm not sure why people think it's great.

45 commits this year counting the portal, that's half the team. Only 1 5 star, and not even a top10 class.

24 of them are 3 stars. That's basically an entire class of 3 stars.

And none of these players are familiar with the team, schools, staff, playbooks etc. There is no bound, no experience with each other etc.

All at a time when these things are worth more than ever.

In what way is he excelling?

He's winning 71% of his games at Ole Miss.

USM in Hattiesburg. They want Kifiin too, so they're in the mix. Anybody who wants him could get him. He hates Oxford. He has no support there, and he cant get his kids to even visit, let alone live there. No way Kiffin stays at Ole Miss more than 2 years.

LSU doesn't want or need him. HE CANNOT RECRUIT. Yes he is doing well in free agency with one year mercenaries, but that is not a sustainable model

I think LSU would be roughly in the same position with Kiffin as with BK.

Both are good coaches.

Maybe, but he's been doing it 5 years now.

Completely agree. It's not sustainable. Now, WHY isn't it sustainable? Well, no one knows why, it's just not. It's not sustainable because internet users on message boards say it's not. So it's not.

As long Ole Miss keeps the NIL coming and paying him top 10 he isn’t leaving. His formula has been top 20 HS class + top 2 transfer class.

With his offensive creativity and QB grooming, he’s foolish to leave. He will never have a hot seat at Ole Miss. Never.

The only move that would make sense is a place with elite NIL resources.

Although that may not even matter with profit sharing.

themetalreb: you must be setting people up with your comments about Kiffin above. Namely, that he hates Oxford, his family wont visit him, etc. His daughter, Landry, is a soph at Ole Miss. His son, Knox, will move in with him this summer. His ex, Layla, is moving to Oxford to be near both children. Both his mother and father moved to Oxford several years back. Although he lost his father recently, his mother still lives here. I live here in Oxford, so all this gets out in the open pretty quickly.

As for the comment about USM, that's laughable. They have neither the money nor the fan base to interest any Power 4 proven coach.

So, my conclusion is that you are ribbing us. Good one!

He can't recruit and makes terrible in game decisions. But somehow only Alabama and Georgia in the SEC have won more games over the last 4 years. I guess it's just that Ole Miss tradition and pedigree that keeps winning games****

None of that can be true. It just can't be. The internet said so.

Not happening but Bama could have had him and passed. Too many burned bridges.

Lane is 44-18 at Ole Miss (that includes having to rebound after the sad shape that Matt Luke left the program).
2020: 5-5 (COVID year)
2021: 10-3
2022: 8-5
2023: 11-2
2024: 10-3

The last coach that won 10+ games multiple times as HC at Ole Miss? That would have been Johnny Vaught. Of course, none had ever won 11 games.

Outside of Alabama and Georgia, what other SEC teams have won more than Ole Miss the last 4 seasons?

Since he's arrived in Oxford, he quit drinking and chasing trim, his children moved in with him, and he recently reunited with Layla.

Dude has matured greatly on a personal level and he and his family are very happy in Oxford, and has done a hell of a job.

He's getting paid very well and Ole Miss will continue to open the pocketbook to keep him here. Our AD has given him the keys to run the program however he wants, and he has 100% of the boosters support with zero interference. If he leaves, it certainly won't be because of money.
