Their offensive lineup was supposed to be amazing. I don’t think anybody expected the fielding to be completely terrible and the offense to fall off a cliff.

We got the yips batting right now. Have like 5 new starters. Batters need to stop putting pressure on themselves, it’s mental. Pitching is good enough, but need offense.

Speculation I suppose.
It reminds me of when Petrino got the boot here and John L was handed the reins. With the same assistants and with the talent coming back what could possibly go wrong. I believe we started out in the top 10 and disappeared with the quickness.

They were in the CWS final last year and my understanding for the #1 ranking was that their whole team was returning or something like that. Turns out the players weren’t actually that good and it was all Schloss.

You guys are really confident our bats will stay dead all season? Thing is I’ve seen Ole Miss, even LSU get hot mid year and go on runs. That’s my hope at least.

you asked completely the wrong question. everyone knows why. the question is why this team is what it is right now.
Our pitching just may be better than last year. but our hitting, which on paper should be equal or better than lastt year, is ABYSMAL.

All our batters are trying to murder balls to get out of this rut, and it’s like, just play the field. Also, everyone is playing the shift on us.
The season for us rides on the bats figuring it out soon and getting out of their own heads.
