Cam Johnson (LSU transfer) is pitching Tue. He started Sun and was yanked. Word is he was sick but convinced the staff to let him try. Lasted 9 pitches. Glad its sickness and not other issues. There is some stuff going around lately.

Some very smart people told me that the UGA offense would take a big step back from last year.

Strange how UGA batters keep winning SEC Player of the Week. Even stranger how we have the top 2 batters in OPS and wRC+. I’m sure it’s a mistake

Posted this yesterday in the Rankings thread:

It’s kinda wild, coming into the season it seemed like UGA was going to need to lean on what should have been improved pitching to make up for the loss of Condon and Collins at the plate.

Instead, we have all but replaced Condon and Collins’ production with Zaborowski and Burnett and only gotten better in the pen; starting pitching is no better or straight up worse (in some part due to injury but I digress)

He’s been pretty good. Some control issues still but from what I understand better than last year. Really curious how he throws today.

Skip is a pitchers coach so am looking for him to be better later season. These mid week games are great for him to get some throws and work on mechanics.

What a coincidence that all four 3-0 teams are going up against each other this weekend.

Yeah, it is crazy how that worked out.

The reality is that all of us will be taking L's throughout the season..

Well, most of us..

I do like the Thursday night games though..

BigBro's Worthless Predictions this weekend:

Florida 2-1 vs Georgia (Florida might sweep imo)
Kentucky 2-1 vs Auburn

Tennessee 3-0 vs Alabama (hoping I'm wrong)
Arkansas 2-1 vs South Carolina (Hogs might sweep)
Oklahoma 2-1 vs Miss State
Texas 2-1 vs LSU (tossup for 3rd game, flip a coin)

6-0 Tennessee

5-1 Texas

4-2 Arkansas
4-2 LSU
4-2 Oklahoma

3-3 Alabama
3-3 Auburn
3-3 Georgia
3-3 Kentucky
3-3 Ole Miss

2-4 Florida
2-4 South Carolina
2-4 Texas A&M
2-4 Vanderbilt

1-5 Miss State
1-5 Missouri

I don't think either team sweeps, but I really don't have a feel on who wins the series, so here is the coin flip for me..

My gut is saying something is wrong with LSU based on the RPI. It's in line with the rankings for 12 of the top 13 SEC teams, but not LSU. It will fix itself either way, but that was the deciding factor for me..

Plus it's a road series.. but I really don't know.

What are your thoughts?

I have a feeling Texas goes 2/3 on it. I've been able to watch 3 Texas games so far and those boys look legit to me.

Being on the road seems like what is my deciding factor but LSU calls itself the powerhouse so lets see them prove it .

I am betting the Texas game tonight to get a better idea of what this weekend could look like.
