Bama flamed after tournament title, went to FF after going out here last year. Barn went out after tournament title, i expect similar results for them. Re focuses you, takes a little stress off, rest

This has been a very physical game between two great teams

Anecdotal

Plenty of teams go far or all the way after winning the conference tournament

I agree. Playing another physical game tomorrow and then having to play 2 games again next week isn’t the most beneficial for teams long term in the NCAA tournament.

Agree. I am fine with an Auburn loss. We didn’t have anything to gain by winning the tournament

Just a championship.

That "greatest SEC team ever" label went down in flames with the late season losses even if they make a deep NCAAT run.

Lol wut. We already have a banner hanging for the Championship that matters 10x more.

Actually, I am not disappointed at all.

We played a great UT team tough in hostile territory + we already have a championship trophy & banner.

Instead of risking a key injury, I want the team to get some rest and refocus now...

I think zero people give a single shite about being greatest team ever if we somehow cut down the nets in 3 weeks

Weird melt. But yeah, your only cope is to harp about how it's actually better that you lost today.

The biggest thing is that they'll have less chance of injuries.
