Maybe Pedulla starts for somebody. Maybe. Chris Beard should be Coach Of The Year for making the NCAA Tournament and going 10-8 in this brutal conference with that rinky dink roster. But I doubt he gets a single vote.

This team is overachieving like crazy. Beard is unreal.

Could call this team, "Revenge of the 6th man."

So many guys could be coach of the year for overachieving.

But only one coach led his team to the top of the poll for 8 weeks and won the league.

Beard should be coach of the year. Ole Miss is going to be dangerous every year with him.

Do you have a point guard?

Beard is great but it isn't as if Ole Miss was picked last in the SEC or something. You have a good roster filled with a bunch of 5th year seniors who have been solid players at big schools for multiple years.

You were picked 9th in the SEC and you are the #8 seed in the tournament.

Good chance this'll be his last year at Ole Miss. Their best bet is to match whatever Indiana offers him.

Matthew Murrell is one of a few point guards in the SEC that at one time was committed to Auburn.

Bruce is the clear choice for me but I'm an auburn fan so I may be biased. With that said Mizzou didn't win a conference game last year. If it's going to an over achiever then I'd give the nod to Gates. Beard is an excellent coach though and deserves some praise

I wouldn't call Auburn a big step up from Ole Miss at this point. Indiana certainly is.

Indiana certainly has deeper pockets but I don’t see beard leaving Ole Miss.

Why would Indiana have deeper pockets? Ole Miss is a flagship University.

Not sure if serious, but Indiana has much deeper pockets than Ole Miss. Alumni base.

frick Auburn, but Bruce and Gates were my 1 and 2 votes for CotY. Bruce won the hardest SEC ever, and you explained my reason for Gates. Mizzou had an absolutely insane turnaround in a single year.

Why would a blueblood basketball program that's desperate to win again have deeper pockets than Ole Miss? In basketball? Do you really need that explained?

Depends on how committed Ole Miss wants to be. Indiana will offer a significant amount.

Are you forgetting

UF twice
Miami twice
Auburn
A&M
Oregon

All the places Kiffin was supposed to leave for. Beard is the same. Keep dreaming.
