Re watching UNC sweet 16 where he looked like dirk and didnt even make it look that hard. Now its a miracle if he finds a basket outside a dunk. He has worked hard doing the dirty work and rebounding which is great but why the offensive horror?

He wasn't that good last season. Really just two fluky good games for him in the tournament and three lousy ones.

I will admit that I don’t watch a ton of bama basketball but when he shoots, I don’t expect it to go in.

I don't watch much Bama bball either but I've liked him when I see him. Seems like a pretty well rounded player.

Looks like he's averaging 12 pts 8 boards this year that's pretty solid.

Getting worked by Condon doesn't mean much. Condon is just a better athlete, NBA prospect etc.

Such an ignorant take. Are you and Nicholas the same poster? A lot of LSU fans on this board are just dumb, or their Bama hatred clouds their objectivity.
He has a lower leg injury. He had a great tournament last year and was pretty good this year until he injured his lower leg half-way through the season. He dunked over the big center at UCONN last year and had some highlight reel dunks over top shelf post players. He hasn't been able to jump due to the injury and what I've heard it is very painful and has affected his play severely. Honestly, Oats should rest him until NCAA tourney.

Somebody f’ed up his shot. And I’d like to have a word with whoever that was. His shot, even free throws, looks terrible.

He has gf trouble . He actually dates 5-6 girls on campus and they are ruining him from a basketball standpoint. 2 of them got into a knife fight over him after a game before Christmas lucky it was stopped before bloodshed.

Nelson went 1-for-7 and scored 6 total points in the first two rounds of the tournament. Hardly great. Sorry for your ignorance about your own player. Gumps never cease to amaze me.

He looks like an 80's porn star, which I kind of respect.

LOL, at "Doctor". What kind of "Doctor" are you?

Nelson came up big against the better opponents AND he was playing out of position last year:

Against NO. 1 Seed UNC 24 points
Against Clemson 8 points
Against No. 1 overall Seed UCONN 19 points

This year he's averaging 12 points per game with his average dropping due to his injury.
Go swill some whiskey and fish for crawdads in your front yard and leave basketball talk to the smart people.

I read something recently that he is playing less than 100% due to some nagging issues. My guess we will know after the season when he has some kind of medical procedure done. He has a small frame for a fifth year senior which probably is not conducive to holding up an entire season.

He was a 3&D stretch four last year playing out of place due to interior defense limitations.

Now hes a 25% guy from three surviving down low on garbage points while turning the ball over at a high rate because he's pressing too hard.

Nelson's 3-point percentage the past three seasons:

26.9%
27.3%
24.7%
