Apparently one thing Napier can do is recruit. Got to give him credit where due. Slow but steady in the portal also. he might work out after all, if it translates to wins.

I wouldn't go that far. He is an above average recruiter, which looks great after Dan's terrible recruiting, but Napier's hype as a recruiter hasn't quite lived up to the hype that he received when he was hired, although that might not be all his fault as our football boosters don't seem willing to go all in on top tier recruits like other programs.

I do think he has improved the roster from what he has inherited and if he can translate that into wins, I agree that he might just work out.

I'll agree that the jury is still out on Napier, but this year will 100% tell the tale. If we start slow again and then come on strong to get to 7 or 8 wins I'd consider that a failure.
Unless we're OK with putting his limitations fully on boosters and lack of support then this year should be do or die.

Its like we gotta pick our poison, take a good recruiter who isnt great at Xs n Os or get a good Xs n Os guy who cant land the elite talent.

When you get a coach that can do both, he can be a legend!

We have only had a couple in the history of Gator football.
