The SEC needs to get four teams to the S16 or it will be a disappointing tournament

Well Florida is playing the best basketball right now.
There's always a chance the SEC flops. NCAA tourney gets fickle. Also a good chance 4 teams make it to the elite 8.

The SEC is the strongest it has ever been in basketball. It would not surprise me if not a single SEC team makes the final 4. Such is the NCAA tournament.

100%

Media already has their headlines typed out. Doesnt matter, the league was brutal and with one schools goat team that is legitimately great. There will be upsets in the tournament but it will never change my perception of this season.

At the moment 4 of the top 8 teams with the best chance to make the Final Four are all from the SEC:

Auburn
Florida
Tennessee
Alabama

I think it's safe to say all 4 teams SHOULD be there by the S16; at that point who you draw plays a HUGE role. Go up against someone who is the perfect counter to your game play, and goodbye... but in most matchups, all 4 of those teams win their S16 games.

It’s all going to depend on matchups.

They will 100% try to frick us all with matchups in order to keep the number down.

Bama’s ceiling is Elite 8 but the way this team defends, they could exit earlier.
It depends on which bracket and who they play. I wouldn’t want to face a Petino team in the first or second round.

I think Bama could easily make the final four. Is this team better than last years? As long as they're hitting shots they can out score anyone while also giving up 90.

Auburn will win the Title...

Mizzou beat Bama by 12 ..... Florida by 1 ....lost to Tenn by 4

You want to pick a long shot? Look no further than Mizzou...

This team is not as good. Injuries to Wrightsell, Mallette Reid have really hurt. Nelson is playing injured now too.

Outside perspective here but I actually feel like Bama’s team last year was their worst of the last 3 years their bracket just opened up. Two years ago Bama was the best team in the country besides UConn but it was a weird tournament.

Everyone will be focused on the possible upsets of:

Auburn
Bama
Tennessee
Florida

But they are forgetting the ability of:

Mizzou
Texas A&M
Kentucky
Ole Miss
Miss State
Vandy

Those 6 teams will upset a few high seeds along the way.

I expect 6 SEC teams in the sweet 16.

Not very high. Auburn, Bama, and Florida should all make it without much resistance

Welcome to the "neutral site" game that is a brisk ten minute walk from the other team's campus.
