Cocks, tell me about your MBB head coach

I saw the graphic during last night's game, his record at SCe:
2022-23: 11-21
2023-24: 26-8
2024-25: 12-18
I looked up his record-as a head coach he went 87-72 at Chattanooga and made the NCAA tournament once in 5 years. On the plus side, his record improved each year.
Why was he hired at SCe? He has no connections to the school or state.
How do fans feel about him? Lynch mob time, give him a couple years, or just apathy?
How do fans feel about Frankenstein Martin? Miss him, hate him, glad he's gone?
TIA

My whole winter wardrobe is based off Lamonte Parris and the gamecock 1/4 zip...

Frank made the tournament once in his ten seasons so it was time for him to go. Same Groundhog Day shite every year too where the team would have crushing losses to teams it had no business losing to and couldn’t make up for it in conference play.
Willing to give LaMont more time. He’s a very likable guy and had zero guard play this year.

I wish he'd take the smirk/grin off his face after being in pressers being 0-fer in the conference. Needs to show some emotion, IMO. Sometimes his comments just feel disconnected like things aren't happening to him, but happening to the team.

Firstly...frick him. Dude was trash here aside from a fluke run.
as for Paris, this year we were hurt by NIL. He found some good gems last year and made a run. I am still a Paris fan, but he has to turn it around next year or the seat gets warm.

Transfer portal will be huge for Lamont next year. He won't survive another year like the one that he just had.

Thanks for the insight, guys.
As for Frankenstein, I always hated the dirty way his teams played and he was WAY too intense on the sidelines, always bitching about the refs or his players. There were rumors Mizzou was going to hire him in 2012 and I thank God that never happened. When we played his Kansas State teams he was always a prick.
Paris does seem likeable, but based on his track record I am not convinced he is a good coach. It is not going to get any easier in the SEC.
Good luck.

Aside from a 2-year run with Eddie Fogler in the late 1990's and our Final Four run with Frank Martin several years ago, Gamecock basketball has been atrocious the last 50 years.
