Existential Yell Leader Crisis at Texas a&m...

Things are getting so bad at Texas a&m that old "boomer" ags now think that they all might be turning into "sips"...
"I'm probably an old. Certainly old enough to remember when the Yell Leaders didn't…well…flounce.
What I see now is what I imagine is a sip doing a parody of a yell leader."
"The university is a shell of what it once was. You youngsters don't know what it was like back in the 80's.
You bought your date a mum for every home game as every home game is a homecoming. Girls dressed up for games. The band played loud throughout the game. It is different in a very negative way now. TAMU is now the University of Texas in College Station. That makes this old Ag very sad."
See:
Please explain the demise of the yell leaders to me...
Since we are in the depths of winter, it's football off season, and our Longhorn men's basketball team kinda sucks, I'm feeling generous to aggy and want to help...
Anyone have any constructive ideas???

That's not very positive... y'all will have a big football game to prepare for in Austin this upcoming Fall...
Plenty of time to "re-imagine" those aggy yell leaders... so let's all cheer up and come up with some "sunshiny" ideas...
This is the team support we will be bringing, as an example...

They are melting over a basketball game that hasn’t been played yet

It's offseason, and politics are off limits... and we can't effectively brag about men's basketball since we lost to y'all...
On this board, exactly what else are we supposed to do??

After getting their butts kicked in their bowl game, all they have left is obsessing over their big brother
And it’s gotta hurt that Notre Dame played a much better game against Ohio State than they did

Swimming and Diving are the sports you are most relevant in in the last 50 years.
You should be educating the SEC fans on the nuances and importance of those sports as the season is almost upon us

But y'all do obviously care... y'all's mournful "demise of the old Army yell leader" TexAgs thread is currently 5 pages and 149 posts long...

Rules of Debate 101: Changing the subject is not allowed...
We are not talking about "sips" beating ags in swimming and diving here... we are talking about y'all's yell leaders...
The general boomer conclusion on y'all's TexAgs thread was because of "tradition," y'all should definitely keep the yell leaders... but the yell letters need to be updated, and re-imagined, you know, for the modern age... so I am just seeking some creative ideas from the SEC crowd to help y'all out here...

In my day yell leaders did not look like pretty boys walking the streets of Montrose. Yell leaders actually did push ups on the 50 yard line during the beginning of yell practice. The majority of them were contract fighters. Those odd little pushups they do now took really ******ed.
During the "joke" portion of yell practice, the raising of the leg was supposed to be a reenactment of the days when yell practices were held on the steps of the YMCA building and it represented walking up the steps.
ALSO, I remember in the olden days yelling throughout the entire game. We did yells all game long and we were hoarse leaving the game.
I realize this is the millionth thread on this, but it's honestly just painfully sad how lame the yell leaders have become and make no mistake, I am all for yell leaders.
Also in my day, the head yell leader would practice with the football team the week before school started, pads and all. The yell leaders were pretty tough in my day, compared to the soy boys that are currently doing the job.

I knew aggy was going downhill once they started supporting Draggieland every year.

I do. Let yell leaders be female and male.
Males wear the milkmen uniform. Females wear white shorts with white tops that match but are very interesting to look at.
Both help with the yells and pass back signs.
There’s absolutely no reason not to have female yell leaders and female yell leader uniforms that are something women would wear.
None.

So even the few real men that are aggie fans are sick of the soft yell leaders they have now.
Even their on fans are embarrassed about yell leaders.
