He just outsmarts himself. Did this vs OU a year ago. Tries to show he can be smarter and it costs his teams. Same tonight he had 1st and goal at 1 and never brought in Archie, decided to go with dumb play calls with sEwers.

I don't know why everyone doesn't practice and do what the Eagles do.

Bc Jalen Hurts is built different. Ewers does not have the lower leg body strength that Hurts has. Plus the Eagles have an incredible interior OLine.

I was legitimately so blown away watching Caleb Downs blow that up I didn’t even think to question the play call in the moment.

His explanation after the game makes sense. tOSU had their big body’s there, so they were trying to use Winsers speed to beat them to the edge. If it was blocked correctly, it’s a touchdown. Unfortunately they have the best safety in college football to runs the alley very well.

That being said, looking back at it you should’ve tried 1 more time up the gut.

This was pretty much my immediate takeaway. Caleb Downs is just an NFL safety out there. Easy to question of course after the fact.

Imagine giving a 19 year old $10 million so he can ride the bench and not win you a championship.

Oof.

He knew they couldn’t run it straight ahead with success…

All of Sarks success in the game was with misdirection or speed matchups

I've seen this posted a couple of times already. No one on the Texas roster is getting 10 mill in NIL money. I don't even know who tf you would be inferring this about anyway.
