Texas needs to handle their business vs OSU and shut the B1G and ND up.

Let's go Horns?

Nah.

I'd rather see Notre Dame win it all this year.

You have to understand that this is the thought process that every college athlete uses now that they are being paid. Ohio State paid 23 million for this roster.

The player that made that comment will view OSU as the best team no matter what, because they paid for the "best" players.

It's the hogwash logic that abounds in MLB and NBA discussion that college athletics used to be free of.

CFB is not about the "teams" anymore. It's about the individual players.

Whatever the number is. Perception is reality. The media has made sure of that.

I know this...the Notre Dame RB believes that the Buckeyes are rolling are in cash.

Get out of here with that nonsense.....actually Texas and TAMU have higher NIL.... Most of the money OSU paid for was for retention of their top players, 7 defensively, 3 offensively. Almost all are going in NFL rounds 1-3.

Oregon & Texas spent more.
Ohio State only has 3 starters via the Portal.
The money they did spend was to keep guys they already had from turning pro or pursuing better offers from other schools.

Ohio State's previous two head coaches, Urban Meyer and Jim Tressel, who each guided Ohio State to a national championship, agree on just how talented these Buckeyes appear to be. On his podcast last week, Meyer said it "might be the best roster in college football in the last decade, as far as NFL talent, as far as depth. ... They are loaded".

Before you call something "nonsense" like some 95 year-old academic, at least research the topic.

Ohio State has been the pick for national champion since August. How is this difficult to understand?

What difference does it make how much NIL's spend. That's the way of CFB today. Spending NIL doesn't guarantee championship (Look at TAMU from a few years back). It's cult, fit and development that are just as important. NIL money spent 10-12 Million on a guy who will be a freshman next year (Michigan) and Tennessee spent 8M on a QB a few years ago who has just basically been flailing around.
