He’s an edge rusher from FCS South Dakota and posted some impressive numbers, 18 1/2 TFL and 9 1/2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles. 2024 Missouri Valley Conference defensive player of the year.
I know we have a JC guy coming but this guy might be a hidden gem worth looking at.

I definitely think we have some solid pieces in the Transfer portal but also feel like we are getting destroyed in the portal, so far.

We kind of are getting crumbs while our rivals are getting big time players. However, I agree we desperately need true DT/DE types. At least 1 good one, preferably 2.

I think they're intentionally being scarce in the portal, accenting the team they have rather than buying a new one.
To avoid relying on freshmen depth, teams have to find journeymen players or upside guys without a lot of experience. That JuCo ruling might get players on that level more shots too.
Whether that's the right or wrong approach,
There's still 4 talented teams who have players to poach, plus the entire Spring portal too.

Yes, this. We have time. I rather us to find the right pieces than going after big names. We have 4-6 spots open. We have time. We should expect an commitment from a RB soon, and then we probably add one more and then we'll use the Spring window to address any remaining needs.
