No problem. I made my intent clearer in OP. I'm sure the new SEC schools will eventually add to the list at some point.

That shocks me considering some of the great college backs Arkansas has had.

Add USFL
This is something people do forget about Herschel.
He played the most productive period for a pro-RB in the USFL rather than the NFL. He did this by leaving college early (before the NFL drafted Juniors).
In his 3 USFL seasons he had 5554 rushing yards (54 TD) and 1484 yards receiving (7 TD).
His body took the punishment that is associated with those carries. It is funny that if you add those 7,000 yards, he ends up neck and neck with Emmitt.

Herschel Walker had 5,749 all-purpose yards in college
and 25,283 all-purpose yards professionally (NFL & USFL)
That's return yards (KO & Punt returns) in college and pro plus rushing and receiving yards
That's 31,038 total all purpose yards, I would imagine that's pretty high on the all time list..

Now you've gone and done it.

Some other interesting facts about Hershel
Walker broke a world record in the 60-yard dash
represented the United States in the 1992 Winter Olympics in bobsledding
earned a fifth-degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do
went undefeated as a Mixed Martial Arts fighter
Herschel has also performed in the Fort Worth Ballet
competed on The Apprentice
and won the Celebrity Cook-Off on the Food Network
Quite the portfolio...

Walker had 5,199 yards from scrimmage in his first three NFL seasons.
Using that projection to replace the USFL seasons would give him 18,283 NFL yards and 23,785 total.
Emmitt had 25,920 on 5,680 total touches.
Herschel with the projection I used above would have had 23,785 on 4,396 total touches.

Jamal Lewis was another Tennessee thug who helped invent the Fulmer cup.

He lost the only thing that truly mattered though.

Nice research OP with some surprising results. Never imagined Fournette had rushed for 4k in the NFL.
PS - Herschel / Derrick still rate as the running backs this old defensive back wouldn't want to try bringing down.
