Why is the Tennessee camp so confident?

Their best win is a close one over Bama at home. Other than that, they've been very unimpressive.

I admit that the same goes for Ohio State, and losing to Michigan is about the same as losing to Arkansas. But they did beat Penn State, which I think is as good of a win as the Alabama win.

Anyway, just curious as to the Internet-wide confidence that Tennessee is going to win on the road.

Ohio State is historically awful against the SEC in the post season and Ryan Day is their head coach

Big Day Ryan is a choke artist. So is Josh but the pressure is on Ryan Day.

And we have so much more faith in Heupel?

I think something worth mentioning is that Ohio State is coming off a loss. They're going to be pissed, and they will have worked on the issues that cost them the game against Michigan.

You can't even make this stuff up.

This narrative is repeatedly brought up but I disagree that it gives favor to the team mentioned. What it shows is that the team is flawed.

This game could go either way. Ohio State and Tennessee are both very flawed teams. Let's not forget that for the latter half of the season, Tennessee's offense has been pretty pedestrian.

Pepper spray has that effect on people.

I think UTK wins this tho. Running game travels. Defense travels. UTK has both.

That's a good point, but it also shows them what they need to fix.

I don't think the A&M defense knows that.

And UTk is happy?

Same thing happened in the 2022 Peach Bowl they didn’t play tight. But CJ Stroud isn’t the QB. They don’t match up well against UTks D and all the pressure is on them.

Most of us are just having fun. We could win or lose this game but we’ll be damned if we’re not going to have a good time in the lead up. OSU fans being deflated right now is probably making us look more confident as well.

Also when everyone predicts you to lose there’s nothing to do but embrace trolling the shite out of OSU.

We are thrilled. Don’t let the doomsayers fool you. Heupel has taken us to the playoffs in year 4 after taking over a program coming off its worst season in school history, 15 years of dysfunction, and NCAA sanctions.

I know you are and you should be. My point was that coming off a loss or win doesn’t really impact this game and how the teams will play.
