Can you imagine a career military man like General Neyland dealing with today's undisciplined, disrepectful thugs?

Or high school. They love the game and enjoying preparing young men for life. They would hate the prima Donna shite but would still enjoy the game.

The problem with era comparisons is that the era makes the man. Highly doubtful that you’ll find an extremely poor dirt farmer rise to become the greatest coach of his time in this era of college football. All three coaches you named coached through bad stretches in their careers. They wouldn’t last today.

No they wouldn’t, but it’s a generational thing vs ability.

Athletes they dealt with came up differently, act differently, etc.

Out with the old and in with the new. Today’s football will be won by the coaches that can deal with turnover and use it to their advantage vs bitching about it.

Probably not a lot different than coaches dealing with desegregation and the changes that brought. The smart ones adapted.

Those personalities don’t really exist today. This is like asking would Justin Bieber be a good frontline soldier at Guadalcanal.
