Oklahoma/Michigan should be a good one.

So I say 66.6% yes.

This is why I’m still hesitant about OU. To my eyes we’re better than last year. Team is constructed nicely by Portal Moser. And have a true freshman phenom. But I still have to see it vs good teams. Tonight will tell me more

In case anyone is curious as to why they're playing this game...
quote:

During his legendary career, late North Carolina coach Dean Smith tried to schedule one road game in the home state of players who signed with the Tar Heels.

Borrowing the tradition from coach Smith, Oats agreed to take the No. 6-ranked Crimson Tide to North Dakota so graduate senior Grant Nelson could return to his home state and play in front of family and friends.

Nelson is no stranger to the Fighting Hawks, having played three years for rival North Dakota State before transferring to Alabama last season.

Tonight’s setting is only 90 miles from Nelson’s hometown of Devils Lake, and 500 of the 3,140 expected crowd inside the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center will be there to watch the local player make his return to the Peace Garden State.

Part of the series agreement between the schools included Alabama receiving pre-sale access to those 500 tickets, which the school allowed Nelson to give to family and friends.

I obviously a little biased, but I think that's pretty badass.

Calipari did the same thing while he was here. It's a good idea for sure.

I know why they’re playing the game. Duke did that for Kyle Singler when they played in Oregon; Kansas did it for Jeff Boschee against, you guessed it, North Dakota. I think Florida went to New Hampshire for Matt Bonner. Carolina has done it. I like the concept. Still Alabama should drop a million on the Hawks.

Pope is doing it now in a different way. More home boys than Cal.

Pretty cool Bama playing in a small gym. How does that even cover expenses?

Television but, this one isn't about money or ranking.

It’s a little different here right? Nelson played three years of college ball in the state before leaving for Bama?
