Not sure how it works, was he finished for the playoffs? Wasn't going to play? Can't now right?

I’m not understanding the portal here. Why is a player who started 10
Games in the portal?

This is crazy.

Lost his job because he’s terrified of contact. Elite speed but not physical whatsoever. Cam Newton called him out for quitting on his team before the playoffs

He lost his starting job. Got replaced by Daniel Harris.

Doesn't answer my questions. Is he off the team? Wasn't able to play once entered the portal? Genuine questions

Gotcha. Any idea if he could play before signing with A&M?

I read elsewhere(maybe 247?) that he could’ve played even if he’s in the portal but coaches said no and want to make room for EE’s at bowl practice instead

Don’t know how true that is or if that’s how it works

He is off the team and will not play for UGA again.

Might be the physically softest CB Kirby ever signed. This guy broke his collarbone missing a tackle last season. Completely whiffed, hit the ground and got injured.

I don’t think EE get there before the bowl my dude. The HS All American bowls are in January.

The earliest an EE can enroll and participate in practices is in January.

EE’s can participate in bowl practices unless they’ve changed the rule recently

Your first game is Jan 1. EE can’t enroll until the Spring semester.

Im not comprehending how that would even be possible. Are you saying your team lets Georgia HS train with the team? Is it a new or old rule?

I’m saying early enrollees can practice with the team for bowl practices. The players have graduated so they are no longer high school students. Not that hard to comprehend

Elite speed DB with decent cover skills, but poor tackler and bit of a princess.

Got benched due to poor play at the end of the year. Quit team before SECCG due to losing starting spot and entered the portal.

Was replaced in starting lineup by Daniel Harris before the transfer. Humphry started 10 games this year before that. Change happened during the Tennessee game.

Overall the timing of it (losing CB depth) isn't great for UGA. But it also illustrates part of the reason why he was benched (entitled attitude). Harris probably doesn't have the upside, but he doesn't take plays off and at least so far hasn't given up the big plays in pass coverage that Humphrey has when he has slacked off. Consistency for a DB is more important than top end play.

Sounds like he won't be a great fit for the culture Elko is supposedly building, tbh...
